Associa Colorado Upgrades Irrigation System to Save Community Money

This 160-unit condominium association in Aurora, Colorado has been managed by Associa Colorado since 2018.

Challenge:

The community’s board was having trouble keeping assessments down because of an increase in water usage and rates. To try and reduce costs, they wanted to install an upgrade to the irrigation system that would save money on common area irrigation water.

Resolution:

Associa Colorado’s community manager helped the board hire an irrigation vendor to upgrade to smart irrigation controllers. Over the course of three years, the changes saved the community more than $111,000. Thanks to Associa Colorado’s work, the board was able to keep assessments down, reduce their water budget, and increase other categories in their budget as needed.
